Firebrand Construction is dedicated to the community of Stillwater. We are actively involved with organizations across Payne county including the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, NCOHBA, and CASA for Kids, Inc. Our loyalty to local rural communities is strong.
OUR FOUNDER
KYLER MCCOMMAS
Kyler grew up an ag kid, showing horses and caring for cattle in rural Lincoln County, Oklahoma. The son of a local residential builder, he spent his teenage years working on job sites as a labor hand and then a foreman. That experience drove him to seek a degree in Construction Management from Oklahoma State University. During his time at OSU Kyler began working as an estimator/assistant project manager for a commercial general contractor, and spent 4 years cutting his teeth on commercial projects around Payne County. After graduation he continued that career trajectory by moving away to work as a senior project manager for a major commercial construction GC firm for over 6 years in Wichita, KS. Relocating to Oklahoma became a priority as he started a family, but Kyler’s career in construction management continued to escalate. Following his time as a senior project manager Kyler then spent 6 years as a VP and President for heavy civil construction company focusing on midstream crude oil terminal developments all over the U.S. These two diverse backgrounds in construction have given him well-rounded experience for all build types. In 2021, after successfully managing over a quarter of a billion dollars in projects, Kyler founded Firebrand Construction. Firebrand is the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work and passion for constant improvement in the general contracting field.
When he’s not working on Firebrand projects, you can find Kyler in the pasture checking his cattle alongside his wife, Morgan, and two children, Maudie and Whitt.
